Touching Video Tributes to Stan Lee

It’s been two days since we lost a bona fide giant of entertainment, a true worldbuilder: Marvel Comics pioneering innovator Stan Lee. The man who created or co-created enough heroes and villains to fill an arena passed away at the age of 95 on Monday at a hospital in Los Angeles, and fans, celebrities, not to mention Lee’s colleagues and family, have been releasing touching video tributes on YouTube.

Below are a few of the most poignant, touching, and informative tribute videos we’ve seen over the past few days. Feel free to share your own personal memories of Lee in the Comments section, as well as links to other tributes you feel are appropriate. All of us here at Dread Central continue to send our best thoughts and condolences to all who are mourning and remembering the incredible life and legacy of Stan Lee.

Marvel Comics and The Walt Disney Company salute the life and career of Stan Lee and offer our undying gratitude for his unmatchable accomplishments within our halls. Please join us in remembering Stan “The Man” Lee.

Stan Lee, one of the most influential writers and publishers in the comic book industry, sat down with The New York Times in 2015 to talk about his life and career.

Everyone will remember Stan Lee as the lovable grandpa of the Marvel universe. All those wonderful cameos aside, Stan Lee was a cornerstone of the comics industry dating all the way back to 1939. For eight decades, Lee compiled a remarkable list of achievements and changed comics forever — but there’s still plenty that many Marvel fans don’t know about his life and legacy. Let’s take some time to remember and appreciate Stan Lee for introducing us to Earth’s mightiest heroes…
